Human Hair Wigs
Human Hair Wigs
Human hair wigs are made mainly with three types of hair: Asian, Indian, and European.
With European hair being the least available, European human hair wigs are therefore very
expensive to the point of being unaffordable to most wig wearers. On the other hand, Asian
hair is in abundance and therefore Asian human hair wigs are the cheapest but is the least
desirable.
It is a misconception that all Asian hair used in making human hair wigs is coarse. Wig
manufacturers often use a process to improve the texture of Asian hair before using it to
make human hair wigs suitable for Westerners. A process is performed on Asian hair to reduce
the diameter of each hair so that it is more resemble of European hair texture. However, this
method involves a high degree of processing, hence decreasing the life of the human hair wig.
Another type of human hair wig is made using Indian hair. Indian hair has long been used
to make better quality human hair wigs due to its close resemblance in texture to African
American hair as well as European hair. Comparing with European hair, Indian hair is also
much cheaper, making it very desirable by wig wearers who prefer quality textured human hair
wigs, without having to pay for the high price of that of the European's.
